Heartfelt thanks to everyone who supported us in the Kickstarter for the Rayden Valkyrie TV Pilot. 187 people made it happen in backing this project and now we aim to bring a great TV pilot to the screen! Rayden Valkyrie is the character who is nearest and dearest to me, and this project is the most important one I’ve ever taken on, so I will go to every length to make it the best possible. Thank you everyone, to the 187, to our great team of Frank Hall, Eric and Kylie Jude, Julie Fink, and Jennifer Malone Wright, and to all who participated in the campaign, stood with us to be featured, and all those who shared and posted on it. We made it happen! Onward and Upward.
The Kickstarter Campaign to bring Rayden Valkyrie to the screen in the form of a tv pilot episode went live today. This is the biggest project I’ve ever set out to do and one of the most personal as it involves a character near and dear to my heart. I hope everyone takes a look at the campaign, including the 4 minute introductory video where I talk about Rayden and why bringing her to the screen is important.
You can also see the first concept art piece created for the project by artist Jerome Sayers, which came out beautifully.
The campaign has a lot of reward levels, with exclusive, credits, events, and much more. I also wrote a blog post about this project which you can find at this link.
Please copy and share the following link everywhere you can, as this one is the official campaign page:
A new interview is up at the blog of H.C. Playa. The topics covered in it include writing, sword and sorcery, and elements concerning both Heart of a Lion and the Fires in Eden Series. There are more than a few insights about Rayden Valkyrie in the interview as well.

I wanted to highlight a wonderful new review of Heart of a Lion, at the Beauty in Ruins Book Blog out of Canada. This is a very exciting review as this reviewer is very versed in the Sword and Sorcery genre. This quote in particular was an immense honor to read!
“Rayden Valkyrie is a fantasy heroine who can stand tall and proud alongside Red Sonja (Robert E. Howard), Jalav (Sharon Green), Estri (Janet E. Morris), Raven (Richard Kirk), Morgaine (CJ Cherryh), Paks (Elizabeth Moon), and – of course – Xena.”

I have a couple of blog tours up for sign-ups. They take place the final week of October and the first week of November, for Hellscapes Volume 2 and Heart of a Lion, respectively.
We are looking for book bloggers and reviewers to host activities ranging from interviews, reviews and perhaps other activities for these two week-long tours. I really want to put a lot of effort into these two weeks, so if you know some book blogs, or are a book blogger yourself, please do have a look! I want to make these fun and informative visits. I really enjoy blog tours and am excited about these two back to back tours!
The signups for Hellscapes 2, which will be coming out that week, is at: http://www.tomorrowcomesmedia.com/stephen-zimmers-hellscapes-volume-ii-horror/
The signups for Heart of a Lion, which is already available, is at: http://www.tomorrowcomesmedia.com/stephen-zimmers-heart-of-a-lion-tour-sword-and-sorcery/

It is definitely a day to celebrate, the release of the eBook and video trailer for Heart of a Lion, the first Rayden Valkyrie novel and Book One in the Dark Sun Dawn trilogy! We are gearing up for the celebration of the print version this Saturday at 5pm at Joseph-Beth Booksellers in Lexington, KY, but those with eReaders can dive right into Rayden’s world today.
As far as the book itself, here are the direct links to the Kindle, Nook, and Kobo versions. The synopsis is below. The cover art was created by Bonnie Wasson and my editor on this one was Scott Sandridge, both of whom I want to give a big shout out too!
My newest short story, “All the Lands, Nowhere a Home”, marks the debut of Rayden Valkyrie. She’s a hard-hitting gal with an honor code, and I am confident readers of fantasy and sword and sorcery are going to love her!
She’s going to be doing a lot more in the future as well, so you might as well make your introduction now!
The story is included in Thunder on the Battlefield: Sword, which along with a second volume, Thunder on the Battlefield: Sorcery, are available today on Kindle and Nook editions.
It will be available in print very shortly, in about a week and a half.
Here’s the links for the Sword volume, which has my short story:

Really hope you enjoy this one! I just love Rayden and can’t wait to share more of her adventures with you!
