The Ragnar Stormbringer Tales, Volume II, contains three novellas previously released in the growing collection on eBook formats.  These novellas include The Awakening, Tears in the Snow, and Burning Skies!

The novellas in the Ragnar Stormbringer collection will continue to be released and made available individually on eBook formats, and the compendium is only being released in a print edition. These print compendiums are a great way to make the Ragnar Stormbringer Tales available to readers who do not have eReaders or prefer print editions.

Here are the synopsis of the three novellas included in this exciting new compendium!

The Awakening:

Following the end of a brutal war, Ragnar Stormbringer travels across the sea channel to the west with the warrior Thorsalla to visit her brother’s new settlement in the fertile lands of Ulstara.

Ragnar will soon discover that some mysteries are the gateways to even greater ones.

Tears in the Snow:

Howling winds carry promises of doom across the far north where a jarl’s people are falling prey to a horrific plight.

Chilling tales describing hordes of ravenous wolves falling upon homesteads and slaughtering every living thing, including men, women, children, and livestock, are not the worst of it. Rumors and sightings speak of a greater intelligence guiding the terrifying onslaught.

With his great war axe Raven Caller in hand, Ragnar Stormbringer and a small band of mercenaries are among the few willing to tread into the perilous lands.

Using wit, courage, and strength, Ragnar will soon discover that tears in the snow are the seeds of dark, powerful mysteries waiting to be unraveled.

Burning Skies:

The Magarian empire is falling under the shadow of the fanatical desert warriors of Adis Khan, who are raiding with impunity from the lands to the east.

Wielding his great war axe Raven Caller in defense of the empire’s borders, Ragnar Stormbringer leads a band of mercenaries, growing swiftly in renown and acclaim.

When the beautiful ruler of the Magarian city Kadaros, Aelia, hires Ragnar and his band of warriors for a secretive mission, a perilous adventure unfolds.

Fearsome wilderness predators, supernatural threats, and roving bands of lethal warriors stand in the way of Ragnar, his warriors, and their mission.

Blood will flow and the skies will burn.

Dream of the Navigator is a Young Adult, Dystopian/Cross-Genre novel that is the beginning of the Faraway Saga!  It is a story an series about the ultimate battle for freedom; the freedom of the  individual.  Stephen Zimmer has described Dream of the Navigator as “1984 and Brave New World meets Narnia.”  The editor for the new book was Scott M. Sandridge.

About Dream of the Navigator:

1984 and Brave New World meets Narnia

Cities have been replaced by technates. It is a world of soaring apartments, hundreds of stories high, where technology measures, monitors and rations to meet the needs of the greater populace. It is a world of drones, in the air and on the ground, and advanced robotic beings who carry out much of the harder labor, security, and even pleasure assignments.

Those discontent, or who resist, are taken to Rehabilitation Centers, established after the embrace of the Greater Good Doctrine.

For most, virtual realms, substances, and entertainment provide escapes, but for Haven, Cayden, Jaelynn, and Salvador, growing up in Technate 6 is a restless existence.

A hunger for something more gnaws inside each of them. Discoveries await that open the gates to transcend time and space, and even new planes of existence. Nothing in their universe, or others, is impossible to explore.

What was once reality, now seems like an illusion in a deepening experience.

Begin the journey to Faraway, in Dream of the Navigator, the first book of the Faraway Saga!

Desert War eBook Short Story Now Available!

As if the new short story collections, Chronicles of Ave, Volume 1, and Hellscapes, Volume 1, were not enough for a release week, I also had a new short story addition for the Annals of the Rising Dawn Collection!  Been quite busy this past week with these releases, but wanting to make up for some lost time this summer. .

This particular story is a stand-alone, but readers familiar with the Rising Dawn Saga and the short story “Temples Rising” will discover some very interesting things within it!  It also has a very eerie relevance to world events happening today, especially with regard to my take, represented in fantastical fashion, of elite interests who foment wars in foreign lands under the banners of things like “nation-building” and “regime change”.

Below is the cover and official synopsis.  Really hope you enjoy it! It is just 99 cents and is now available on Kindle, Nook, and iBookstore (with Kobo at any time, just waiting for that version to go live)

Synopsis:

“Desert War” tells the story of Saif, a man from the Order tasked with getting an ancient, powerful artifact out of Libu before those serving the Convergence can take it themselves. The nation of Libu is crumbling fast around him, as militant religious zealots backed by the political elite of the Convergence carry out the overthrow of the current regime. The insurgency is just one part of a much wider design, one that has been advancing over millennia, and the artifact must not fall into the wrong hands.

With the streets of the capital filled with murderous, brutal insurgents, and being hunted by powerful enemies wielding supernatural arts, Saif has to find a way to get the priceless artifact to safe harbor.

“Desert War” is a stand-alone short story that is part of the Annals of the Rising Dawn, a growing collection of tales set in the same history and world as the Rising Dawn Saga novels from Stephen Zimmer.
